Why our transaction fee is so low

We’re not in this to fill our pockets. We’re in this to help Kiwi tourism operators survive, and hopefully, recover from the devastating impacts of COVID-19 on New Zealand’s tourism industry.

Tourism operators are not charged to list their business and their offers on Wander NZ. How we can make this happen is by taking 6% of each transaction to cover our costs. Stripe, the payment gateway we use, take 2.8% + 50 cents per transaction. This part is out of our hands, but the part that covers our costs is something we can control, and which we keep very low at 6% (again, this just covers running costs).

You receive payment (via Stripe) when a tourist takes up an offer on a listing. The tourist then gets a voucher which can they use at your business.

It’s all really simple and everyone wins. You get free marketing and tourists get a great deal.
